Artist Statement

Which Way will tackle the need to “mark your territory” to survive in a changing landscape as an immigrant and woman. It depicts me crawling through sand with nothing but my stilettos and a weightlifting belt, just to make it to an undetermined side. Home is a constantly changing territory and I want to confront the viewers with a new path, that might be harder to walk on, but by the end of it they will gain a new perspective and appreciation. All the while, acknowledging that “walking” that path is a privilege, in and of itself.
